Scanning

I can now offer a scanning service for 35 mm  Medium Format & 5 x 4 Transparencies.

Transparencies scanned and copied to CD or DVD.

35 mm transparencies are scanned at 6000 dpi Medium Format at 4800 dpi and 5 x 4 Transparencies at 4000 dpi.

Each transparency is individually assessed and basic adjustments to exposure etc. are carried out.

Dust & scratches are removed by the use of Digital Ice™. The results are good however some marks may require further work in
Photoshop™ etc.  Digital Ice ™ does not work with Kodachrome transparencies. A different method of dust removal will be used  but the results are
not as good as with Digital Ice™.

Clients are advised to supply  clean films free of deep scratches , fingerprints etc.

I am unable to scan glass mounted transparencies.

Scans are done at the resolutions mentioned in 8 bit . No sharpening. Adobe RGB 1998. uncompressed tiff and saved to CD or DVD, whichever is
required. I can save files as jpg saved at the maximum setting.

I can scan individual 35 mm slides, strips of 6 unmounted. Single 6x6 slides and strips of 3 or Panorama format and 6x7 transparencies.
