North Lanarkshire lies North East of Glasgow and contains much of Glasgow's suburbs. It also borders East Dunbartonshire , Fallkirk, Stirling, South lanarkshire and West Lothian.. It was formed from parts of Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire, and Stirlingshire.
